It has been lovely to meet and begin to get to know your children over the past two weeks. The children are already enjoying being ‘upstairs’ and are showing that they can set a good example to the younger children within the school. We hope they will take up some of the leadership opportunities that will be available this year such as becoming prefects or playground leaders. We are excited about our topics this term and are looking forward to debates, exploration, research and learning lots of new things.
How can you help?
Children will be given both Maths and English or topic homework each Friday to be handed in by the following Thursday. Please help as much as they need. Listen to your child read/discuss books regularly. Help your child learn/practise their times tables and related division facts if they are not yet confident with some of them. Come and see us if you or your child is worried about anything so that we can help.
