Vale Football Final - 6th February 2020
On Thursday 6th February 2020, the girls 7 a side football team took part in the County round of the competition after their success at the Vale round.
The girls had to play just 2 matches of 15 minutes against Blewbury and Our Lady’s. In the first match against Blewbury it was very close however Wantage managed to score the final goal in the final minutes of the match.
Next they played Our Lady’s it was very close with the score 1-1 at the full time whistle. This resulted in extra time of 3 minutes each way. After the first half we were still drawing. However despite the girls playing brilliantly, Our Lady’s managed to score the winning goal in the final seconds.
Well done to all the girls for their achievement in finishing as runners up and showing great determination during the afternoon.
