Oxfordshire School Games
On Wednesday the 11th December 2019 the girls in the year 3/4 and year 5/6 cross country teams represented the Vale at the Oxfordshire School Games at Radley College.
When we arrived at the venue we walked the course, the course was fairly flat but very muddy and wet!
The year 3/4 girls ran first with Cate leading the team home in a very respectable 37th place, she was closely followed by Lily, Poppy and Zuzanna all finishing in the top 50 children, overall the team finished in 12th place.
In the year 5/6 race Rose led the Wantage girls finishing 24th out of 105 children. She was joined by her team mates with Annie in 27th, Charlotte in 41st, Jessica 44th and Kara in 47th. The team overall finished in 5th place which all the girls felt extremely pleased with.
