ESSA Relays
On Friday 22nd March 2019, the swimming team took part in the Oxfordshire English Schools Swimming Association Schools Relays.
We took a girls team and boys’ team to the competition and competed in two races: the medley and freestyle relay.
The boys swam really well, however, after the rounds we found out that they had been disqualified from both races! The boys still had a fantastic time and enjoyed the experience of competing at a high level competition.
In the girls heats Wantage finished 2nd which gave them a secure place in the final. The girls swam really well in both finals finishing in 5th place overall.
All the children represented the school showing great sportsmanship and determination.
